Introduction
The Resort was built by the couple Lin Chien-Tiao and Lin Chun-Tzu, who are obsessed with wood. Initially, they dreamed of finding a place for them to grow flowers and vegetables and live a quiet life in the mountains surrounded by plants and woods, therefore they purchased this piece of land in Dongshi. Starting from nothing, they gradually built the Resort piece by piece.
For their initial plan, in addition to the European-style main building, they hoped to have a forest lounge in the surrounding, and both of them love deciduous cypresses. This place is about 500 meters in altitude, creating a big difference in temperature between day and night after autumn. They thought it would be beautiful and colorful to plant deciduous cypresses here. These trees can also conserve water and soil. Therefore, from deciduous cypress sprouts, they gradually grew the trees that are seen here today. The beautiful deciduous cypresses have become the major feature of the Resort, attracting quite a few tourists. In particular, some newly-weds like to have their wedding photos taken here.

Bamboo
With a theme of the woods and bamboo, the Resort mainly grows deciduous cypresses. Nearly 100 trees are distributed throughout the area. Particularly in autumn and winter, the leaves of deciduous cypresses turn from green to yellow and red. The soaring trees form a forest path. The light and shadows between the branches create beautiful scenery unique during this season. Logan trees, Madagascar Almonds, silver oaks, Taiwan pines, cherry blossoms, Formosan ashes, hoop pines, and different kinds of trees are scattered throughout different areas, adding different appearances to the overall landscape.
The Resort makes coasters, key rings, placemats, ornaments, and other processed goods out of trimmed deciduous cypresses every year for visitors to choose from. The Resort also provides a series of activities under the theme of woods and bamboo, such as rubbing tree seeds and ecological guided tours in the bamboo forest. Visitors can also dig bamboo shoots, get close to nature, and witness the beauty of the forest.
