HUDSON'S GOOD FARM
HUDSON’S GOOD FARM

Gao Hao-Jun, a top graduate of Chung Shan Medical University, took an unconventional path by choosing agriculture. With his optimistic and cheerful personality, Hao embraces the philosophy of “ask if you don’t know, learn if you can’t do,” which has guided him to develop his own approach to managing the orchard. His sincere and grounded approach to agriculture ensures that he consistently delivers high-quality, healthy produce to consumers.

Introduction

Hudson’s greenhouse primarily grows melons. Summer crops include cantaloupes, honeydew melons, and cucumbers, while winter sees the cultivation of chestnut pumpkins, cherry tomatoes, and beefsteak tomatoes. Alongside traditional cantaloupe varieties like “Mei Hua,” Hao has introduced the new “Xiang Fei” variety, which turns bright yellow and emits an elegant fragrance when ripening. This variety delights customers with its sweet flesh and aromatic experience, offering a fresh experience for the taste buds.

The outstanding quality of Hudson’s produce has earned him a loyal customer base, with many becoming returning customers after their first purchase. Hao’s secret lies in his principle: “I only choose the best products for my customers.” His wife also left her job at the hospital to join him in farming. She admits that agriculture is a challenging profession, with many unpredictable factors, but they are confident in their path. Every harvest of melons and cucumbers represents their commitment to the land and serves as a meaningful contribution to the next generation.

Features of Agricultural Tourism

Vegetable

In addition to high-quality cantaloupes, cucumbers and cherry tomatoes are among the farm’s more popular offerings. The cucumbers stand out in the market for their unique shape and crisp texture.

What draws visitors most is the chance to pick cucumbers and cherry tomatoes themselves, providing a fun, interactive experience. Depending on the season, the farm also organizes creative activities like making candied cherry tomatoes or cucumber salads, allowing children to learn about agriculture while having fun. Plans are underway to produce ice cream from second-grade fruits, giving these less visually appealing fruits a second life and reducing wastage.
