Commonly known as the Taiwanese Mountain Sakura, it is the most common cherry blossom in Taiwan. It has the most brilliant colors within all of the cherry blossoms, the flower is shaped like hanging bells, the species is divided into single petal or multi-petals. Every spring, cherry blossoms spread over the entire area of Alishan, which attracts a large number of people on a pilgrimage. The flowers mainly include Formosan cherry, Yoshino cherry and Yae Sakura. Thousands of cherry blossoms will blossom after the Yoshino Sakura “Sakura King” in front of the Alishan Workstation’s arrival.
