Magnolia

Because of its pleasant aroma, it has always been a favorite of Taiwanese people, and the first thing people associate them with in Taiwan is a hawker who wraps herself up in a headscarf moving between dangerous car formations at the intersection; magnolia is mainly produced is in the area around Pingtung’s Gaoshu and Yanpu. At 6:30 in the evening, as the sky gets darker, the aroma of magnolia fills the rural paths, it summons the farmers to begin a day’s harvest. Because of its short flowering period, blossoming only for a one day, once you miss the time of harvest, it will rapidly wither away the next day.
