Upon entering Green Fantasy Manor, visitors are greeted by vintage electric cars that take them on a tour around the expansive, gently sloping park. This helps guests get an overview of the area, including children’s favorite Hobbit Hill and the animal interaction zone. The Hobbit-style houses resemble scenes from The Lord of the Rings, while feeding animals adds to the fun. For adults, the European-style town and Torii shrine provide popular “travel-abroad” photo spots. Among all attractions, the most iconic plant here is the gac fruit, which you simply cannot miss.
Introduction
Under the arched trellises hang numerous gac fruits in shades of green and orange-red. Every part of the plant—from tender leaves to unripe and ripe fruits, even the red aril surrounding the seeds—is edible. This tropical fruit is incredibly rich in beta-carotene (about 70 times that of carrots) and contains over 17 times more lycopene than tomatoes.
Also known as the “fruit of heaven” or “couple fruit,” gac is widely cultivated in Vietnam. Its vibrant color and rich nutrients—beta-carotene, lycopene, folic acid, and zinc—make it a symbol of happiness in weddings and a nourishing food for pregnant women.

According to Deputy General Manager Zhan Zhao-Sheng, gac fruit is still rare in Taiwan. Because every part of it can be utilized, it has been chosen as the signature feature of Green Fantasy Manor. Beyond offering delicious food and fun activities, the park also promotes food and agricultural education through this unique plant.
Features of Agricultural Tourism
Vegetable
Green Fantasy Manor actively promotes food education centered around gac fruit. Visitors can enjoy dishes such as gac fried rice, gac chicken soup, stir-fried tender leaves with goji berries, or gac omelets. The seed aril is used to make colorful juice, often mixed with honey and ice—making it a refreshing and nutritious summer drink.
As you explore the park, you’ll find yourself in a dreamlike world: from Hobbit-style cottages to European streets, windmill houses, and animal interaction zones. Along the way, you’ll discover the rare and fascinating gac fruit, savor a full gac-themed meal, and even create DIY rush-grass keychains. Visitors can stay overnight in wooden cabins or private guesthouses—offering a complete, worry-free getaway. The only concern? Not having enough time to enjoy it all!
