The “Kaohsiung Zhulin Leisure Agriculture Development Association,” located in Baolai Village, Liugui District, Kaohsiung City, is a model of agricultural transformation that blends historical memory with natural landscapes. The venue is primarily formed by three core cooperating units: “Meikuang Homestay,” “Star Forest Camping Ground (including Sancha Workshop),” and “Sweet Plum Garden“.

Introduction

A pioneer in leisure agriculture, the grounds are planted with large areas of plum, cherry, and peach blossoms. The owner provides professional guided tours and natural ecology education.Built through community self-construction efforts, these serve as the main base for agricultural experiences. The surrounding landscape is beautifully adorned with Roselle, Kawazu cherry blossoms, and Yellow Bells.

The site focuses on “Erqing” and “Rouge” plums. It promotes plum tree adoption and various agricultural DIY activities.This site is more than just a leisure spot; it is a space for practicing sustainable agriculture and land-friendly beliefs, allowing visitors to rediscover their connection with nature amidst mountains, starry skies, and hot springs.

The Zhulin Leisure Agriculture Area aims to be a premier destination in Southern Taiwan, combining “flower viewing, hot springs, accommodation, and camping”. Activities follow the rhythm of the seasons: • Late December to January: Visitors can immerse themselves in a sea of white plum blossoms, enjoy flower viewing, and participate in “Meizhuangniang” (plum brewing) DIY. • March to May: During the peak plum harvest season, the farm offers diverse handmade experiences, including crispy plums, enzyme plums, plum wine, plum vinegar, and plum jam. • Ecological Diversity: Due to the clean environment, visitors can observe rhinoceros beetles, fireflies, and stag beetles at different times of the year. • Cultural Connection: The association integrates rural architecture and local customs into its tours, guiding visitors to experience the deep cultural roots of the farming village.
