With diverse and natural feed, the shrimp here are very energetic. The shrimp fishing store mainly targets families as customers and so smoking is not permitted in the area. The air is odorless here. One fishing rod is NT$300 for half a kilogram of shrimps. The owner will add to the yield if visitors catch less than half a kilogram of shrimp. They can take their catch to Lan Yang Restaurant across from the farm where they can grill their catch by themselves. They can also order a few classic dishes and enjoy a meal there. This is a well-reputed shrimp fishing store in the aquaculture farm.
Apart from the fish farm, there are two large shrimp fishing ponds indoors and three outdoors. Clean once a week, the ponds are crystal clear. Visitors can clearly see the energetic shrimp. To raise excellent quality shrimp, good quality water under filtration, circulation and temperature control from Xueshan. The farmer provides feed with water weed, clams, kurma prawns, shredded bonito and mackerel and amino acid. “The shrimp grow well as they’re provided with a good environment and good feed, just like raising children.” The cost for aquaculture here is ten times more than that in other farms, resulting in natural, luscious, and pleasantly chewy and lively shrimp.
