Farm owner Chang Heng-Pin and his wife Chen Li-Chi used to work in sales. They enjoy meeting new people. However, being a sales specialist has put pressure on development. The farm, which was invested in by some of their relatives, interest them, so they started growing vegetables and became farmers.
All things are difficult before they are easy. In the beginning, growing vegetables was difficult. Originally, they wanted to sell vegetables that they grew in winter. However, they either encountered natural disasters like typhoons or drastic falls in prices due to the overproduction of vegetables. Furthermore, to overcome climate-related problems, they had to use pesticides and fertilizers. They decided it was not a good idea in the long run. Therefore, they turned to growing organic vegetables. Various kinds of vegetables are grown on the Farm. Visitors can experience farming and then feast on fresh dishes at the Farm’s restaurant, which conveys the idea of “farm to table” and low-carb diets that are produced and consumed locally.
The Farm emphasizes organic farming and an eco-friendly environment. They reduce pests through organic cultivation in net houses. The green houses protect vegetables from wind and rain. Without chemical fertilizers and pesticides, the Farm protects the land and the environment by growing vegetables in the way that is closest to nature.
