Planting citrus inevitably requires the spraying of pesticides to ensure the fruit skin stays beautiful and flawless, and enhance its appearance. However, due that its open for picking, it would cause great harm if the pesticide dosage is not used properly. It might be worth making the fruit a little uglier, if it allows everyone to eat with peace of mind and have fun, as well as take the opportunity to educate tourists. Even when the surface is slightly spotted and the skin is rough, that does not affect the taste at all. It is definitely worthwhile that an eco-friendly environment with reduced pesticide use allows the implementation of food and agriculture education on every tourist who comes to experience fruit picking. Moreover, after the reduction of pesticide use, the ecology of the park is thriving.

Fruits

How to tell if a fruit is ripe? Not necessarily from its color. The Big Sis who led us citrus-picking in the fields tells us to pinch it, and if it feels like a tyre that is slightly out of air, that means there is a tiny gap between the flesh and the skin, which signifies that this citrus is ripe. There are different ways of telling for different varieties, and after partaking in this experience, you will be an expert at picking fruit next time you go to the market. Make jam from the citrus you picked yourself,  a journey definitely not to be missed.

When hunger pangs arrive, come for a meal of rural flavors. Prune meatballs are the signature dish, chinese toon omelette, preserved radish and pork rib soup, fried veggies, roasted goose, among others, are the must-have dishes at every table make sure to order.
