Pulami Lasang Cabin is located in the Kaaluwan (Jialan) Village of Jinfeng Township, Taitung County. It is a versatile venue that combines cultural experiences with food and farming education. The name carries deep meaning: “Lasang” is the name of the owner’s father, meaning “hardworking and industrious” in the Paiwan language, while “Pulami” signifies a “land of abundance and prosperity”.
Introduction
The founders, Huang Zhi-ming and Kao Xiu-chun, are among the village’s first certified guides. Their expertise covers Paiwan and Rukai tribal organizations, mythology, hunter culture, and traditional crafts. The cabin insists on eco-friendly farming, growing traditional Paiwan crops such as turmeric, pigeon peas, millet, red quinoa, and various wild vegetables.

- Visitors can participate in unique activities like “Millet Pounding,” which shares the stories of millet and tribal life. This includes the tradition of clearing old millet from granaries to welcome the new harvest for the annual Millet Festival.
