Introduction
Long Yun Leisure Farm is located at Shizhuo and mid-way up Alishan at 1,500 meters in altitude. Owing to the inconvenient transportation, the Farm owner living there has had to be largely self-sufficient to meet their daily needs. As bamboo is the most economically valuable crop and adapts to all kinds of environments, the owner planted a large area of bamboo right from the early days. From house building, daily goods to food, everything in life is closely related with bamboo.
With the changes of the times, the Farm turned from the original bamboo producing and processing into a leisure farm supplying its own organic vegetables and providing accommodation. Besides bamboo shoots and mountain vegetables, the mountain region is cool and the Farm is surrounded by clouds and mist all year round. Also, the temperature difference between night and day is large, and the Farm has become a famous tea production place in Taiwan. Like most of the residents in Shizhuo, Long Yun Leisure Farm mainly produces oolong tea. It takes five minutes on foot from the entrance to the tea garden. Visitors can not only enjoy the delicious mountain dishes and good tea, but also appreciate the beautiful changing scenery throughout the four seasons. Sometimes, the Farm is surrounded by clouds and mist; and sometimes, the sky is blue and the air refreshing and when strolling around the Farm, the different atmosphere can be experienced. Moreover, the Farm is a good place to experience rural life in Alishan.

Tea
Away from the hustle and bustle, open and clear mountain landscape and natural environment-the beautiful tea garden in the farm, accompanied by the sea of clouds and sunset, is romantic and pleasant; and along the forest trail, you can also stroll in the elegant bamboo forest to feel the freedom and comfort of wandering around the world. Regardless of the season, there are different botanical landscapes here, from mountain cherry blossoms and Yoshino cherry trees to ginkgo, eucommia, and Ashitaba in the “medicinal plant garden”. It is dizzying .In addition, follow the owner of the farm, or pick fresh vegetables, or weave and play with bamboo dragonflies, or walk into the rural kitchen to cook a few story-telling dishes, If you don’t even do anything, just sit down and enjoy a cup of freshly brewed alpine oolong tea, and you can deeply feel the comfort of being in the Alishan farmhouse.
Forest/Bamboo
The farm also retains the virgin forest in the back mountain, without excessive development, coexists with nature, and has a rich natural ecology. The bamboo forest bred by nature, the farm uses materials to make bamboo windmill DIY, and uses bamboo to create the most natural environment. And in terms of ingredients, bamboo shoots are also used as a signature dish to entertain visiting customers.In the forest trail of the farm, you can see the beautiful bamboo forest, and in many buildings on the farm, you can see the decoration using bamboo, and the experience activities in the farm will teach customers to make ancient children playing bamboo windmills.
